I’m Holly and before any other role in life, I am a follower of Christ. I am also a lover of holidays, a stationery addict, and food is my love language. I believe in bright colors, mismatched prints, and that the smell of lavender can cure any bad day. When I visit a thrift store, I beeline for the blankets in hopes I’ll find a handmade quilt. I believe that saddleback shoes will make a comeback one day and that everyone should own a shirt with a Peter Pan collar. The way to my heart is with bouquet of ranunculus or tulips…and there’s also gravy.
I was born in Northern Michigan, raised in Las Vegas, and lived in the SoCal High Desert for six years after marrying my Baberham Lincoln of a husband, but my heart was always pulled back to Michigan; so in March of 2018, our family moved across the country from Lucerne Valley California to Alpena Michigan where we now reside in an adorable 1920’s home with a wrap around porch.
The Family Palate is my online kitchen where I share simple recipes for everyday life and real families. As the mother of a blended family of seven, my recipes are tested in a kitchen of children in age ranges from fifteen to five years old. You’ll find step by step pictures and a simple how to guide for every single one of my recipes here, to help ensure you master my recipes for your own family. Food is my love language, friend.
