While I love cooking from scratch (it’s my love language), as a busy work from home mama, it’s not always possible for me. When I can’t cook from scratch, I rely on quality brands I can find at my local Walmart, like Rao’s Homemade Sauces, to fill in for me. Rao’s uses the same high quality simple ingredients like cream, cheese, garlic, and butter, that I would use if I made it from scratch and is natural and non-GMO. When it’s Alfredo night, my go to sauce is Rao’s Homemade Alfredo Sauce. Seriously, this sauce is full of fresh ingredients and it comes through when you taste it. My kiddos love Alfredo night, which makes me happy because it means our family time at the table will be quality togetherness. Tastier ingredients means tastier meals which means happy kids! I’ve also been known to warm up the sauce and serve it with a batch of my Quickie Breadsticks, which if I’m being honest, is my favorite way to enjoy Rao’s Homemade Alfredo Sauce.

All the ingredients I need to make this delicious dish are at my local Walmart. Easy to find, Easy to make. Am I speaking your love language yet?

I start by using a sheet of refrigerated dough sheets and lay it flat over a sheet of floured parchment paper.

Using a pizza cutter, I slice the sheet into roughly one inch strips, creating little breadsticks out of the dough.

I transfer the breadsticks to a prepared baking sheet.

I bake them per the instructions on the can (each can has slightly different instructions, so be sure to check yours).

While the breadsticks bake, I go ahead and grab my Rao’s Homemade Alfredo Sauce and warm it up in a saucepan.

Once the sauce is heated through, I remove it from the stove and set it aside where it awaits the breadsticks. This is a true love story, friends. There is no better match than breadsticks with Rao’s.

Once the breadsticks are done baking, I remove them from the oven and let them cool while I make the buttery topping for them.

I melt some butter in a bowl and then add garlic powder and basil.

Using a silicone brush, I brush on the butter to each breadstick.

Then I grate some Parmesan cheese over the top.

These breadsticks are delicious on their own. They’re perfect for soup night, pasta night, or any night really. But tonight? Tonight they’re a beautiful vehicle to get the sauce into my mouth.

And then? Oh my, friends. Then comes the best park. The very first dunk into the sauce. It’s glorious. It’s cheesy, creamy, garlicky (is that even a word?) and every bit as delicious as you’d wish for in an Alfredo sauce. An added bonus is that it’s a good source of protein and calcium.

By using Rao’s Homemade Alfredo Sauce and my quick breadstick recipe, I get to serve my family a wholesome meal, made with real ingredients, without having to spend tons of time in the kitchen. I love that I can easily find it at my local Walmart and that I don’t have to go anywhere special to get it. It’s full of vibrant flavors that you only get from slowly crafted Italian cooking. The ingredients list contains words I can actually pronounce and recognize! It’s truly homemade and exactly what I’d serve to my family if I made it myself, Rao’s just makes it easier for me.

Friend, you need some Rao’s in your life. Be sure to pick up your favorite flavor from your local Walmart. Get inspired with recipes using Rao’s by visiting them here where bloggers like me shared our favorite Rao’s Homemade recipes.
