Dollar Tree Halloween Hair Bows
My daughter, Evelyn, is the girliest of girly girls. Unicorns, rainbows, sugar and spice, and all the bows. She loves wearing fun bows for every holiday and it’s become part of her daily routine after getting dressed to choose a bow. Recently, when I was shopping for supplies for my Dollar Tree Halloween Wreath, I found these fun felt Halloween characters. I knew they’d make the most perfect Halloween Hair Bows and Clippies, so I bought a couple packs, some bows, and some clips for supplies.
- hot glue gun
- Dollar Tree felt characters
- hair clips
- craft foam or felt
To start, I trimmed down some craft foam to fit behind the felt characters. The reason I use foam is because if I leave the back of the felt characters uncovered, they tend to get stuck in my daughter’s hair.
Then I place a dab of hot glue directly to a clippy and attach a piece of foam. I place another dab on the back and attach one of the felt characters, sandwiching the clippy betwen the two.
Then I set it aside to dry and set.
For the bows, I just dab hot glue to the center and then attach a felt character.
It’s as easy as that. I love it when crafts are this simple!
These Dollar Tree Halloween Hair Bows are such a simple craft. My daughter and I worked together on them together before lunch last week. I love that it allowed to to be creative and have a hand in making her own bows for the Halloween season.
